There isn't any true definition of E-Commerce.

As mentioned previously, E-Commerce is the combining of traditional business practices with computer, information and communication technologies.

But, E-Commerce is more commonly viewed as online shopping via the Internet. This is the most simple explanation the majority of Internet users understand.

However, E-Commerce is really any commercial activity conducted electronically, particularly via private or open networks, such as the Internet.
